Professional Standards Division
The Professional Standards Section supports the mission and core beliefs of the Sheriff. The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing effective and efficient law enforcement services to the citizens and businesses of Duplin County with integrity, honor, professionalism, respect, and commitment. We pledge to enforce all laws and ordinances in a fair, consistent, ethical, and impartial manner while respecting the constitutional and personal rights of all individuals.
The Primary functions of the Professional Standard Section Include:
- Ensure all employees of the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office comply with departmental standards and interagency protocols.
- Establish uniform procedures for the investigations of incidents involving professional compliance, or misconduct by Sheriff’s Office personnel.
- Ensure a professional process which provides citizens, supervisors and employees a fair mechanism to address complaints regarding law enforcement services.
