Bailiff Division
Bailiffs Division/Court Services
All courts services (District, Superior, Small Claims, Child Support, and Juvenile) convene Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m. Special hearings are scheduled by judges or other court officials as needed.
The “Bailiff” is a Sheriff’s Deputy whose duty is to provide security for judges, witnesses, and prisoners in the county courtrooms. Bailiffs are responsible for opening and closing the courts, keeping order within courtrooms, and carrying out orders of the court as directed by the presiding judge. They also transport prisoners to and from court.
