Public Safety Cadets at the General Assembly
The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Cadets Unit 1090 had the honor of visiting the General Assembly in Raleigh on Tuesday of this week. While there the cadets met with a number of representatives and senators. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and sit in a judiciary committee session.
The Sheriff’s Office and cadets want to especially thank Senator Brent Jackson, Representative Jimmy Dixon, Representative John Bell and Representative Carson Smith for taking the time out of their busy schedules to spend time with them and answer questions.
Public Safety Cadets Unit 1090 is a national non-profit organization founded and managed by active and retired law enforcement officers and business leaders dedicated to preparing young adults, ages 14-20 (until 21st birthday), for careers and leadership in the public safety profession.
If you are interested in participating in the program, would like to help, or make a donation, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 910-296-2150. Ask to speak with Sergeant Randy Forster.
